Christmas Lights
These pictures were taken late on Christmas Eve, 2002, right after a heavy snow. We had just gotten back from church and I opened the curtains of the picture window and took some photographs. I'm pretty sure these were taken with my 1940s Voigtlander "Bessa" on 120 film. I was experimenting with large format and slow shutter speeds. I think I actually ended up leaving the film in my camera for almost a year (the Voightlander isn't my main camera) and discovered the images when I had the roll processed. I was going for the look of the 1950s 4x5 images I've seen that were taken by my Grandpa, Bob Williams, and Herman Berry. They're best viewed as prints (like all images from large format film) so I included some enlarged views of details. Some other pictures from that night were taken with my Kodak Autographic Brownie Camera.
