This building was originally built in the 1950s as a doctor's office complex by Dr. Vyverberg. The building was enlarged in the 1960s and the second floor was added in the 1970s. It has been occupied by TCHA for about ten years. The building has recently undergone a series of improvements including remodeling of the library interior, remodeling of the archives, replacement of some windows, and a new coat of "Navajo Red" paint.

The Alameda McCollough Library in the Wetherill Historic Resource Center contains all of the materials for anyone researching geneology or local history. The only resources not located here are newspaper microfilm (at the Public Library, obit. indexes at TCHA) and the property records (at the County Offices). All marriage records and legal files from pre-1950 are definitely here. The library is staffed by TCHA volunteers who can help you with your research. This is truly an excellent facility. TCHA also boasts a large photographic archives as well as an extensive collection of items relating to the history of Tippecanoe County.
If you don't visit the library and the Tippecanoe County Historical Museum (across the street in the Fowler House) you are definitely missing out.
